Dag Jensen

Dag represents the third generation of sculptors in his Family. Born in the North of Norway in 1956, the oldest of two siblings. During his teenage years, he moved with his family to Fredrikstad where he now has his studio.

“I started as a sculptors apprentice as early as 10 years old” explains Dag. “I spent most of my available time learning and working along side my Grandfarther and Father in their studio.

We created a lot of wood and whale tooth carvings, natural scenes from Norway’s wild and rural nature. The sheer number of carving compositions honed my skills in capturing and create the details that brings a composition to life. I particularly like to bring life to the drama that plays out in a scene.

I continue the legacy of my Father’s work. Throughout the years I have created a number of custom made awards, trophies and honorary decorations, including Military medals.”
